How to reach:

By Air: Trivandrum International Airport is the nearest airport. The airport is well connected with all the major cities of India.

By Railways: There are around 20 railway stations in Thiruvananthapuram district which are well-connected with all the major cities of India.

By Road: NH-66 connects Thiruvananthapuram to Kochi, Kozhikode, Mangalore and many other cities of Kerala.

Know Before You Go for Kerala Family Vacation

  • Travel Zoya reserves the right to rearrange or change the itinerary for reasons that are beyond control like Natural calamity, weather conditions, road block etc.
  • Kindly inform the operator about your flight timings prior to the date of travel.
  • Heavy rain falls are observed between June – September which means that real time itinerary changes are possible. In case the roads are blocked due to landslides or any other natural calamity, a permit may not be available to go. Travel Zoya will arrange alternate sightseeing for the travelers however cost of alternative accommodation needs to be borne by the customer as the hotels pre booked execute their cancellation policies & are nonrefundable. This is generally what happens when you book the hotels yourself as well.
  • All meals are included only in the houseboat.
  • Any sightseeing point which is not completed due to time constraints, traffic jam, natural calamity, travelers starting late, permits issued late or any other reason beyond control, Travel Zoya does not take the liability for a refund or a discount.
  • Air Fare / Train fare /Bus fare are not included in the package.
  • The tour takes place through eco-friendly zone; do not encourage littering the local sites.
  • ID proof is mandatory for each individual guest at the time of booking, and also upon arrival. PAN card will not be considered as a valid address proof.
  • Guidelines issued by the State-Government are to be followed. Social distancing to be maintained. Frequent hand sanitization and use of mask recommended.
  • Any expense of personal nature is not included in the package.

Tour Plan

Day 01 Arrival in Thiruvananthapuram | En route Kovalam | A haven of peace and tranquility
  • After landing in Thiruvananthapuram, get welcomed by our representative at the airport/railway station.
  • The representative will help you get transferred to Kovalam which is 15 km away from Thiruvananthapuram.
  • Proceed with the check-in formalities at the hotel in Kovalum and relax for a while.
  • The rest of the day is at leisure.
  • You can visit the Kovalam Beach and acknowledge practices like sunbathing, swimming, home developed body rubs and a couple of others.
  • Return back to the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 02 Half Day sightseeing of Trivandrum | Seek blessings at Padmanabhaswamy Temple
  • Wake up with a delicious breakfast and get ready to go on a city tour of Trivandrum.
  • Visit Padmanabhaswamy Temple built in the 16th-century with an intricate fusion of the indigenous kovil architecture.
  • Head towards The Napier Museum, an art and Natural History Museum that host historical artefacts including bronze idols, ancient ornaments, a temple chariot and ivory carvings.
  • Next, witness the collection of paintings representing the various genres of paintings in India, along with a few from other parts of Asia at Sri Chitra Art Gallery.
  • Next head towards a scenic lake, Veli with a beach, playground, floating cafe & sculptures, plus activities such as boating.
  • Head back to Kovalam to enjoy the sunset at the beach.
  • Overnight stay at the hotel in Kovalam.
Day 03 Kovalam - Alleppey | Welcome to the land of lush backwaters
  • After Breakfast, check out from the hotel, drive to Alleppey and embark on your private houseboat and cruise on the Backwaters.
  • The splendid area is full of canals, lakes and coves. Your houseboat is luxurious with well-appointed bedrooms and bathrooms.
  • After check-in, enjoy the delicious lunch with the sound of water rippling as your houseboat makes its way through the backwaters.
  • You can sunbathe on the deck or observe the palm-fringed landscape from your cabins
  • Apart from the mesmerizing surroundings, it’s the life along the backwaters that makes this a fascinating experience.
  • Enjoy the dinner with a mesmerizing view of the backwaters.
  • Overnight stay on Houseboat.
Day 04 Alleppey to Kumarakom | The home of Siberian storks
  • After a lavish breakfast at the lodging, you will head to the wonderful Kumarakom.
  • This town is a gathering of flawless little islands on the Vembanad Lake, Kerala’s greatest lake in South India.
  • It offers a beautiful viewpoint of the emerald green backwaters of Kerala flanked by rich vegetation and paddy fields.
  • When you touch base at Kumarakom, register with the inn and take some rest.
  • In the evening, you will be taken for boating along the lake and bird watching at the sanctuary.
  • Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 5 Departure | Time to head back home with a plethora of memories
  • Wake up in the morning, have breakfast and pack your bags for departure to Kochi.
  • On the way, go sightseeing and if time permits visit the Cochin fort, Marine drive, etc.
  • Reach Kochi railway station/ airport and depart to your destination
